Is actually a small hamlet that is part of the village of Sassetta, surrounded by an age-old wood of turkey oaks, chestnut and holme-oak trees that was designed and built by the owners, Lucia and Roberto who also run it. It is quiet and peaceful throughout and the atmosphere is made even more special by the care and attention paid to even the smallest detail. Guests will find spacious apartments furnished with exquisite taste and provided with all modern comforts. Each unit also has a shaded area for a car, a private garden and a portico. The communal area includes a swimming pool for adults only, a smaller one for children as well as sun-beds and deckchairs for the use of all guests. There is a children’s corner built in the shade of a thicket, complete with crayons, traditional games and hammocks so that when swimming is out, the kids have something creative to do. A small office near the pool is the place to go for ideas on how to spend the day, news on local events and exhibitions and help with itineraries and restaurant bookings. Pian delle More is within easy reach of Tuscany’s major art cities not to mention the beaches at Baratti, San Vincenzo, Bibbona & Marina di Castagnetto – so in either case, being part of the area’s cultural and social life could not be easier. It is only a short walk to “La Ceretta”, a bio-dynamic farm with stables that offers riding lessons as well as the chance to see the wonderful countryside on horseback. It’s a holiday immersed in nature and surrounded by beauty; time to slow right down and rediscover the joy of not having to rush.

Pian delle More is a holiday complex that was completed in 2007. It comprises three separate houses that have been divided into 8 comfortable flats. Current owners, Lucia and Roberto took their inspiration for restoring this old 18th century mill from typical Tuscan rural architecture, using materials in keeping with eco-architectural ideals to create a harmonious, healthy and well thought-out ensemble; guests will find their apartments spacious and with all modern comforts, an open fire-place, a good-sized private garden, portico and an assigned parking space. The apartments vary in size: LA TORRETTA - (4-6 people): a 100 sq.m. flat with kitchen/living room, dining room with open fire-place, two double rooms, one twin bed room and two bathrooms. Suitable also for only four people are staying in which case one room can be turned into a sitting room. SAN MICHELE - LE GINESTRE - (2-4 people): 70sq.m comprising a lunge with kitchen corner and open fire-place, a double bedroom, kitchen and large attic room that can be used as either a second bedroom or as a sitting room. OPEN SPACE - (2-4 people) is a large basement flat (140 sq.m.) comprising a lounge with kitchen corner, bathroom and large bedroom. It is suitable for either a couple or a family with young children. All flats are provided with bed linen, books and board games.

           

Exit the Genoa-Livorno motorway at Rosignano Marittimo. Head for Grosseto along the Florence-Pisa-Livorno highway and take the Donoratico-Castagneto Carducci exit. Continue on to Castagneto then follow the main road through town towards Sassetta. Just before you get there, you will see a petrol station on your right and a Carabinieri barracks. Take the road on your left in front of the petrol station and go approx. two kilometres towards Monterotondo until you see a dirt road on your left. We are just 300 yards or so down that road.
